2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year C - The Wedding in Cana & “We Shall Draw Water”

In this Sunday’s Gospel (John 2:1-12), Mary intercedes with her Son for the newlyweds at a wedding in Cana, where Jesus changes water into wine. He reveals his glory and indicates that the kingdom of God is at hand. From John’s Gospel, “(Jesus) did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.”
