24th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - Take Up Your Cross The Saviour Said

In this Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 8:27-35), Jesus tells of his future sufferings, death and resurrection, and that to follow him, we must take up our cross.

He says, “Whoever wants to become my follower, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake, and for the sake of the Gospel, will save it.

In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video, “Take Up Your Cross”, a traditional hymn that echoes Jesus’s words in this and many other bible passages including Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34 and Luke 9:23.
