21st Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - The Words of Eternal Life & “Taste and See the Goodness of the Lord”

In this Sunday’s Gospel (John 6:53,60-69), Jesus emphasizes that to believe in him demands faith. He says, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

After hearing this, many left Jesus, but Peter turned and said, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” The Psalm for this weekend (Psalm 34) also emphasizes the messages of the Gospel, calling us to ‘Taste and see that the Lord is good.’

In honour of this Gospel and Psalm, we would like to share our latest video, “Taste and See (the Goodness of the Lord)”, another beautiful musical setting of Psalm 34 by Tom Kendzia that is regularly used as a communion hymn at our Parish.
