19th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - Jesus is the Bread of Life & ‘I Received the Living God’

In this weekend’s Gospel (John 6:41-51), Jesus tells the people that no one can come to him unless drawn by the Father, and those who believe will have eternal life. He says, “I am the bread that came down from heaven … No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them; and I will raise that person up on the last day … Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.

In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video, ‘I Received the Living God’, a beautiful Christian hymn whose lyrics reflect many of Jesus' teachings (including the one in this weekend’s Gospel). Appropriate as a Eucharistic hymn and for use in First Communion celebrations.
