17th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - Jesus Feeds the 5,000 and ‘Taste and See’
In this weekend’s Gospel (John 6:1-15), Jesus told the five thousand to sit down. He took the five barley loaves and two fish, gave thanks, and told the disciples to pass out the food to all. When all were satisfied, the fragments left over filled twelve baskets, and people began to say, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
Interestingly, the "Feeding of the 5,000" is the only miracle recorded in all four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John).
In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video, ‘Taste and See’, a well-known communion hymn used in churches around the world based on Psalm 34 that calls all Christians to 'Taste and see the goodness of the Lord".
