17th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year C - The Lord’s Prayer & “Our Father”
In this Sunday’s Gospel (Luke 11:1-13), Jesus urges us to persevere in prayer and trust in the goodness of our loving Father by teaching us the ‘Lord’s Prayer’. He said to them, “When you pray, say:
‘Father, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation.”
In honour of this Gospel, we’d like to share “Our Father”, a beautiful musical rendition of the Lord’s Prayer by Craig Courtney that we hope enhances your weekend’s prayers.
