The Cry Of The Poor | Psalm 34 | John Foley | Hymn with Lyrics | Homeless Jesus

Based on Psalm 34, "The Cry Of The Poor" by John Foley musically reinforces this scripture passage through it's beautiful refrain, "The Lord hears the cry of the poor. Blessed be the Lord."

Recorded live at St. Francis de Sales Church, Ajax Ontario Canada by the Sunday 7pm Choir. Thanks for listening and God bless.

Featured throughout this video is Canadian sculptor Timothy P. Schmalz's bronze sculpture, "Homeless Jesus", installed in many places throughout the world including in front of the Papal Charities Building in Vatican City.

Description from Timothy P. Schmalz's website: The “Homeless Jesus” sculpture is a visual representation of Matthew 25. The sculpture suggests that Christ is with the most marginalized in our society. The Christ figure is shrouded in a blanket with His face covered with the only indication that the figure is Jesus being the visible wounds on the feet. The life-size version of the work provides enough room for someone to sit on the bench and is cast in bronze metal measuring 36”H x 84”L x 24”D.
