Epiphany & “The First Noel”

This weekend, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord (also known as the Feast of the Epiphany or Three Kings Day). In this Sunday’s Gospel (Mt 2:1-12), it tells of the wise men from the East searching for the king of the Jews and upon finding Jesus, they “…knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

From Pope Francis’ 2023 Epiphany homily, “Like the Magi, let us fall down and entrust ourselves to God in the wonder of worship. Let us worship God, not ourselves; let us worship God and not the false idols that seduce by the allure of prestige or power, or the allure of false news; let us love God and not bow down before passing things and evil thoughts, seductive yet hollow and empty.

In honour of Epiphany, we would like to share our latest video, "The First Noel", a beautiful Christmas carol with verses that speak to the birth of Jesus as well as the visit of the three wise men.
