30th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - Jesus Heals A Blind Man and “Be Thou My Vision”

In this Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 10:46-52), as Jesus and his disciples are leaving Jericho, they come across Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, sitting by the roadside. After he cries out loudly “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”, Jesus summons him and, seeing his faith, cures his blindness and restores his vision. Jesus says, “Go; your faith has made you well.

In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video, “Be Thou My Vision”, that features two beautiful versions of this hymn: the first sung by a female soloist with the Saturday 5pm Choir and piano/guitar, and the second sung by a trio of male singers from the Sunday 7pm Choir with piano.
