2nd Sunday of Advent - Year C - Second Sunday of Advent & ‘Awaken and Prepare Us’
On this Second Sunday of Advent, the Gospel (Luke 3:1-6) tells us of John the Baptist going out into all the regions around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As it is written in the book of Isaiah, John is “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness; ‘Prepare the way of the Lord.’”
In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video ‘Awaken and Prepare Us’, a beautiful Advent anthem that incorporates the hymn 'Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus' and is a perfect song for your Advent preparations. It is also a wonderful song to use as a Prelude or Communion Anthem during a Mass / worship service.
