22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year C - Be Humble & “Children of the Light”

In this Sunday’s First Reading (Sir. 3:17-20), it reads, “My child, perform your tasks with humility; then you will be loved by those whom God accepts.

In this Sunday’s Gospel (Luke 14:7-14), Jesus tells a parable to the Pharisees and says, “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Jesus reminds us to act in true humility, and not to be frustrated by trying to create an ‘image’ for ourselves.

In honour of these readings, we’d like to share our latest video, “Children of the Light”, a beloved children’s hymn by Eugene O’Reilly that is perfect for school masses, school liturgies and First Communion masses.
