11th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - Mustard Seed Parable & ’Our God Is Here’
It’s the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time and this weekend’s Gospel speaks about how the Church of Christ has arisen from small beginnings for the salvation of all peoples.
In the Gospel (Mark 4:26-34), Jesus says, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God? … It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”
In honour of this Gospel, we would like to share our latest video, ‘Our God Is Here’, a lively song that is regularly used at our Parish as an Opening Hymn while the congregation gathers to celebrate the Eucharist and becomes the Church of Christ.
