Crown Him With Many Crowns

On the last Sunday of each liturgical year, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. The Feast of Christ the King points to the end of time when the kingdom of Jesus will be established in all its fullness to the ends of the earth. It also leads us into Advent, where we await the birth of our Lord.

In this Sunday’s second reading (Col. 1:12-20), St. Paul reminds the Colossians that we belong to the kingdom of God through his Son, who has dominion over all creation.

In honour of this feast day, we would like to share our latest video, "Crown Him With Many Crowns", a traditional Christian hymn praising Jesus as the 'Lord of Life', the 'Lord of Love' and the 'Lamb upon his throne'.

In 1851, Matthew Bridges considered this hymn a "sermon in song" and titled it "The Song of the Seraphs," basing the lyrics on Revelation 19:12.

Wishing everyone a beautiful and relaxing weekend!

God bless,
