6th Sunday of Easter - Year C - A New Jerusalem & “City of God”
In today’s second reading (Rev 21:10-14), in symbolic language, the Church is depicted as a wonderful glorious city, caught up in the glory of God. As the book of Revelation says, “In the spirit, the Angel carried me away to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down and a radiance like a very rare jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal.”
In honour of this reading, we’d like to share our latest video “City of God”, a joyous, well-known hymn that is appropriate for the season of Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Its lively spirit makes it a perfect opening and closing song for liturgies.
