3rd Sunday of Lent - Year C - Jesus Calls Us To Repent and “Create In Me A Clean Heart”

In this Sunday’s Gospel (Luke 13:1-9), Jesus calls us to repent. Now is the time and no one can ever count on another year. He then tells the parable of the fig tree where a man wants to cut one down because it has not produced fruit for three years.

But the gardener replies, “Sir, let it alone for one more year… if it bears fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.” This Sunday’s Psalm (Psalm 103) also reminds us that ‘the Lord is merciful and gracious’.

In honour of this Gospel and Psalm, we would like to share our latest video ‘Create In Me A Clean Heart’, a beautiful song to complement your Lenten, penance or reconciliation prayers and services.
